WHERE THE MOUNTAINS TEST THE FAITHFUL
Starting near Salmon La Sac, Fortune Creek climbs into the mountains on a trail that stays approachable for much of the day but still feels like a real 4x4 run. Along the way, the route mixes forest trail, old mining remnants, rocky sections, and higher shale stretches that add character, exposure, and just enough edge to keep things interesting. Fortune Creek is less about huge obstacles and more about the full experience: mountain scenery, trail history, and a proper day in the high country without turning it into an all-out rock-crawling event.
